At TEFAF 2016 in Maastricht Beck & Eggeling will be showing a selection of Heinz Mack's Licht-Stelae (1957 – 1966). As the exclusive representative of Macks Zero-Oevre the gallery will present an impressive installation in front of a mirrored wall in honour of his 85th birthday.
Another highlightof this year's presentation is a group of seven watercolours by Gerhard Richter.
In addition, Beck & Eggeling will show the only self-portrait by Günther Uecker, he has probably ever created.During the late Zero-period in 1967, when he created this object, plexiglas was very fashionable and the Zero-artists – interested in all new materials – used it in several works. Plexiglas in combination with metal and iron-rods, makes this work, as the only known self-portrait by the artist, outstanding and unique.
Furthermore classical works fromthe 20th century by Gerhard Hoehme, Piet Mondrian, Emil Nolde, Chris Reinecke, Pierre-Auguste Renoir and Antoni Tàpies will be exhibited, sculptures by Magdalena Abakanowicz and Gehard Demetz as well as contemporary artworks by Joachim Brohm, Anselm Kiefer, Karin Kneffel and Heribert C. Ottersbach.
