Ulrike Arnold – Himmel und Erde

In June, artist Ulrike Arnold will present her large-scale earth paintings at the Johanneskirche in Düsseldorf. Created using earth, sand, and stones from every continent – along with meteorite dust – her works speak of the deep connection between humanity, the Earth, and the cosmos.

For decades, Ulrike Arnold has traveled the world, painting with the materials she gathers directly from nature. In the Johanneskirche, her artworks enter into a quiet dialogue between heaven and earth. The exhibition invites visitors to pause and reflect – to cultivate a renewed awareness of our planet and of our own fleeting presence within the greater whole.

Her pieces capture something of the Earth’s fragile beauty – a beauty increasingly threatened by climate change and global crises, and one that calls more than ever for our care and attention.
