Nature Morte. Die KWS-Sammlung zu Gast

NATURE MORTE
THE KWS COLLECTION AS GUEST

21.09.2024 – 01.12.2024
Opening: 20.09.2024, 6.30 pm

For the third time, an exhibition in the cabinet of the Museum Franz Gertsch provides an insight into the collection of the Keller-Wedekind Foundation, this time focussing on the genre of still life.

With works by:
Stefan à Wengen, Maurice Ducret, Marc-Antoine Fehr, Bendicht Fivian, Gabriela Gerosa, Sylvia Hostettler, Zilla Leutenegger, Josef Felix Müller, Andrea Muheim, Andrés Fischer Muñoz, Kotscha Reist, Nadin Maria Rüfenacht, Shirana Shahbazi, Uwe Wittwer

The selection of paintings, works on paper, photography and video sheds light on the artistic depiction of inert objects such as flowers, books, fruit, dead animals, glasses, instruments and the like, as well as their contextual and symbolic meaning.

For the third time, an exhibition in the Cabinet of the Museum Franz Gertsch provides an insight into the collection of the Keller-Wedekind Foundation (KWS). The Keller Wedekind Foundation was founded in 1994, makes annual purchases for the KWS collection and awards the KWS Art Prize every two years. The collection currently comprises over 350 works from the fields of painting, works on paper, prints, photography, video and sculpture. The artworks date from the 1980s to the present day. They are mainly depictions of landscapes and figures, views of cities, architecture and interiors, as well as still lifes.

Curated by Anna Wesle.
